Alarmed Flotronic Pump!
Flotronic air operated diaphragm pumps have a wide range of optional extras, here we see the 'Sentinel' rupture protection system.
This protection system automatically detects when a primary diaphragm has failed, it then proceeds to automatically shutdown the pump and triggers an audible and visual alarm. Liquid is contained in a seperate chamber protected by a second set of diaphragms, this prevents potentially harmful liquids leaking from the pump, protecting both personnel and the environment. All this is achieved without a power supply, allowing the pump to be used in hazardous areas.
