Process Pumps was approached by a pharmaceutical manufacturer with an application for emulsying eucalyptus oil with other liquids, the end result being cough syrup.
In order to properly emulsify the products, a large 18kW emulsifier was deisgned and assembled. To fine tune the process, a Leroy Somer Varmeca motor with an integrated speed control was used to drive the emulsifier, allowing the operator to easily adjust the motor speed without complex, separate frequency inverters.
As with all our emulsifier assemblies, the wetted components are manufactured from 316 Stainless Steel with PTFE shaft bushings. A perfectly balanced shaft is also used to ensure smooth running with no vibration
